TERMS & CONDITIONS

A Legal Disclaimer

The information set out in these Terms & Conditions explains the contractual relationship between SOLAE and users of this website. While care has been taken to ensure these Terms reflect current UK consumer law and ecommerce best practice, they do not constitute legal advice. You are encouraged to seek independent legal advice to ensure these Terms fully reflect the specific needs and structure of your business.

About SOLAE

SOLAE is an independent brand offering thoughtfully designed, small-batch products through this website. References to “we”, “us” or “our” refer to SOLAE. References to “you” refer to the customer or website user.

Contact details for SOLAE are provided at the end of this document and may be updated from time to time.

SOLAE operates on a considered, small-batch and made-to-order basis to reduce overproduction and support intentional design.

Use of This Website

By accessing this website and placing an order, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract under UK law.

You agree to use this website for lawful purposes only and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their enjoyment of the site.

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the website where misuse is identified.

Products and Availability

All products offered on this website are available on a pre-order only basis, allowing for considered ordering and intentional production.

Products are not held as ready-made stock and are produced in limited quantities following purchase.

By placing an order, you acknowledge that your purchase is a pre-order and that production will begin after checkout.

Please allow approximately 3–4 weeks from the date of purchase for production and dispatch. These timeframes are estimates only and may vary due to supply or operational factors.

Orders may not be cancelled or amended once production has commenced. Where items are made-to-order or produced to specification, your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations may no longer apply once production has begun.

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, colours, and pricing are accurate and representative. However, due to screen settings, material variations, and the nature of small-batch production, slight variations may occur.

We reserve the right to amend product information, pricing, availability, and lead times prior to order confirmation.

Such variations are inherent to the nature of the materials and production process and do not constitute faults.

Orders and Contract Formation

Placing an order through this website constitutes an offer to purchase.

A legally binding contract between you and SOLAE is formed once we confirm acceptance of your order via email. Dispatch confirmation will follow once your order has been prepared.

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion prior to dispatch, including but not limited to situations involving suspected fraud, pricing errors, or stock limitations. If payment has already been taken, a full refund will be issued.

Pricing and Payment

All prices are displayed in GBP unless otherwise stated. Prices include VAT where applicable.

Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering using the payment methods made available on the website.

We do not store card details. All payments are processed securely through third-party providers.

Pre-Orders and Made-to-Order Items

Where products are offered on a pre-order or made-to-order basis, estimated dispatch times will be clearly stated on the product page.

By placing a pre-order, you expressly acknowledge that production will begin based on your order and materials may be allocated or sourced specifically for you.

By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge and accept the stated lead times and understand that all dispatch dates are estimates only.

Production timelines may vary due to supply, manufacturing, or operational factors beyond our reasonable control.

Delivery

Delivery options, costs, and estimated timeframes are displayed at checkout.

Estimated delivery times are provided as guidance only and are not guaranteed.

Dispatch refers to the date your order leaves us and is not the same as the delivery date.

SOLAE is not responsible for delays caused by postal services, customs processing, or events beyond our reasonable control.

It is your responsibility to ensure delivery details are accurate at checkout. We cannot accept responsibility for orders delivered to incorrectly provided addresses.

For international orders, customs duties, taxes, or import charges may apply. These are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the product or shipping price. Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery.

Returns and Cancellations

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, UK customers have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving goods, without providing a reason.

To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing within the 14-day cancellation period.

Returned items must be unused, in their original condition, and returned in original packaging.

Unless the item is faulty, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

We recommend using a tracked service when returning items, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned item and verifying its condition.

We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the item is returned in a condition that does not comply with these requirements.

Certain items may be excluded from returns where legally permitted, including personalised or made-to-order products. Any such exclusions will be clearly stated at the point of purchase.

Faulty or Damaged Goods

If an item arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with details and, where possible, photographic evidence. We will assess the issue and provide a repair, replacement, or refund in line with your statutory rights.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, imagery, branding, product designs, descriptions, and logos, is the intellectual property of SOLAE or its licensors.

This content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SOLAE shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of this website or the purchase of products.

Our total liability in relation to any claim shall not exceed the value of the product purchased.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation. By using this website, you consent to such processing.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

The version in force will be the one published on the website at the time of your use or purchase.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
